Doing the “IMPOSSIBLE” starts with “I’M POSSIBLE”
Our mind is like an artist which is able to paint what we want on a canvas. We give meaning to the situation and so any situation is less important than the meaning we give to it.
And so especially when I am stuck, I remind myself to see how I can change the way I look at the situation. Or look at a different way to interpret it. This is so significant that I frequently find myself unlocking new doors into the world just changing the way I look at things.
Once I am able to let go of the fix way of seeing something, I am able to see that very often what we see as reality is simply a product of the meaning we give to it.
This is very significant because it brings the perspective and understanding that we are in control of the lens we look at things. We are certainly not in control of the things we are looking at, but we are in control of the lens we look through. If we look at things with a negative lens, they are going to appear negative. If we are looking at things with a positive lens, the are going to appear positive.
This enables a self fulfilling prophecy.
Words like “difficult”, “impossible” They have no meaning and don’t exist until we give them life. Barriers constructed by ourselves and have absolutely no reason to be up. Just like walls that separate people have no reasons to be up, they are simply walls that separate A from B, or from now to a future. Like the smartphone. Some people said “impossible” or “difficult” but someone else didn’t say “impossible” but simply planned a path to get from no smartphone and to creating the smartphone, and simply got to work.
It’s really simple. You need to go from A to B. You can focus on creating a path to make it happen or you can list out all the reasons why it can’t happen.
This goes for big things like putting a man on the moon, or little things like getting up early. “Difficult” and “impossible” is our enemy and plotting a path and simply decide to do it is our best friend.
If someone came up with a strategy to put a man on the moon. We can come up with a strategy to wake up early, or start a business. Or write a blog.
See yourself as someone who wins. Who succeeds. Everything anyone has ever achieved was once considered “impossible” until it was done.
Know that for any problem, a solution exists out there. It’s just that you need to know that you will make it happen. Look at the old thing with a new lens of someone who can and will get the job done.
Life is hard enough as it is. You don’t need additional hurdles. Words like “difficult” and “impossible” are simple hurdles you created yourself. Leave these baggage behind and move forward!
Ask the question “how will you?” , not “can you?”. This shift will get you to your final destination.
