Uncertainty of outcome is stressful! Discard it for peace of mind.

We feel stress when we feel that the outcome will not be what we want. We are impatient when we tell ourselves the story that whatever it is we have created an expectation for, will not appear now, or faster.

We are impatient with ourselves and we are impatient with the world. We are impatient with others.

All the anxiety and stress cause more impatience, which then cause more anxiety and stress, and more impatience……………………………..and it’s a downward spiral vicious cycle. At some point we either keep pressing it in or we explode.

Is there any way out of this corner?

If it all started with an uncertainty about the outcome  and a non-acceptance of ourselves and the world as it is.

Once we see that we have a choice. We don’t immediately solve the “problem”, but we certainly lessen our stress, anxiety and impatience.

Would many people be willing to embrace the choice of certainty. Because in certainty we can let go of the anxiety and stress.

If we drop the idea that we are uncertain of the outcome or future, and allow that to create a disturbed state of mind. What if we tell ourselves that we are certain of the outcome. Certain that whatever comes we can accept and handle. Certain that any outcome can present itself, and certain that we can handle whatever outcome.

Once we can reframe how we see the outcome, whether we are stressed out by what we perceive as uncertainty of outcome, or what we choose to label as certainty of outcome, certainty that the outcome will be the outcome and that outcome we can accept and handle, no matter what.

I am curious, if we make that shift, is patience and peace of mind less difficult?
