Is walking through air or on water a miracle? Or is everything that manifests in front of us a miracle?

There are two ways to live our life. One is as though nothing that we can experience in our daily life  is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.

Instead of Googling to see what a miracle is, or what the definition of a miracle is, I started out to find the meaning of this word by looking in my own mind to check what I mean by miracle in my own mind.

I am generating all sorts of understandings in simple language. If I go back in time to a time when the only way my family were able to communicate with me when I was overseas, was either by sending me a letter and wait for a reply to come in a week’s time, or send me a telegramme which used to cost a fortune to send anything longer than 10 words, and all these had to be done with a lot of efforts of going to the post office and joining a queue and waiting.

At that time I was studying physics and I was reading in magazines like “Scientific America” or “New Scientist” that some crazy scientist proposed some outrageous ideas called the cell phone. And of course most experts had doubts and pronounced that “it won’t work”, for this reason or that.

Now, most 10 year old kids have not only a “cell phone” but a whole computer more powerful than the computers a whole developed country had, in their pocket.

Do they consider it a miracle? NO.

Do I consider it a miracle? YES.

I have just eaten a banana. I eat a banana at least once a day, no matter which country I am in. When I was in Sweden sometime back, I was told by old people that when they were kids, they never saw bananas.

Is it a miracle to be able to eat a banana in Sweden. YES to some people. NO to others.

I am sitting here typing this. Without my heart stopping, and my liver disintegrating…………to me it is a BIG MIRACLE that millions of parts and atoms have come together in an intelligent way, to work together seamless to function as a whole physical body, and following the instructions of my mind to move my fingers on certain keys on my keyboards, and picking up my cup of tea and pouring it down my mouth…………all this is a bigger miracle than building AMAZON.com……..

I am curious, would we be much happier and less dissatisfied with the status quo if we choose to live our life as though everything is a miracle?
