A powerful mental shift: Nothing is “wrong”. Everything is “right”.

In the past week, I did not ship a daily blog for a whole week. I was with a family member who needed my full attention and help, and support 7/24.

Did something go wrong? Probably it’s “normal” to think something has gone “wrong” when something (my daily blog) hasn’t gone according to plan.

Fortunately for me, for my well-being, I am always expecting the possibility for things not going according to plan, and so instead of telling myself something has gone “wrong”, I can happily tell myself something has gone “right”. This has helped me stay clear-headed and do what is best and most effective, kindest and most generous thing in the moment.

There is nothing “wrong” with things not going according to plan or original schedule. Even Lufthansa the German airlines have to cancel or delay flights when unplanned things happen.

I was heavily knocked down by hay fever yesterday and I could not function at all. Not able to drive to see someone I promised to see.  Has something gone wrong? It’s entirely possible to say something wasn’t right. But I have chosen to say something was “right”. Not only was being out of action part of real life, and therefore there is nothing “wrong”, but once I stop focussing on what was not working, I could pay attention to all the thousands of things that  were working and start smiling at them and appreciate them.

Like when I was sneezing, coughing uncontrollably, with muscle pains all over me, but I could pay attention to my heart which was functioning normally and enabled me to continue living, and my liver and kidneys which were working hard normally without a salary, and the thousand other things which worked perfectly to keep me well.

Hey, friends, nothing is “wrong”. Everything is “right”.  I apologise for keeping you out of the loop for a week, but I am back “business as usual” and thanks for waiting.
