You don’t need a rarified job, you need a rarefied approach to your work.

We hear a lot of people who are looking to become someone rare or make something rare. As we all know,it’s not rare nowadays to be good at making and shipping almost everything, and since the world is not limited to one’s neighbourhood, and everyone has access to the whole world in just a few clicks.
So everyone is looking for that rarefied job or to make that rarefied product. Really? That sounds like denying that the responsibility lies within us. When we look for the rarefied job or rarefied product, we are looking for something outside of ourselves.
But when we start saying, fine, whatever job or product that I have is what I have. What I am going to do is to bring something from me into that job and product, I am going to bring a rarefied approach to the external thing.
Suddenly I am the boss of rarity. I get to bring the rarity from inside me outwards onto the work.
I am now the one who owns the rarity. I get to change myself and my approach to make what I ship rare. I can do this in an infinite number of ways, and do it a again and again, with whatever I do.
I get to define what I do. What I do and how I do it.
From the smallest job I do to the most monumental work, I am now one of a kind. In a category of one.
I am curious, who needs a new job or new industry, if one can transform the way we approach our work, right here in the now? I am curious, if we all knew that all the conditions to make our work rarefied is already existing here, would we delay for one more second to run with it?
